#monopfx: Best pedalboards of April 2020

In a time where traveling is near impossible, we know that many of you are using the time to fine-tune your pedalboard setups at home.

This month, we take a look at some of the best #monopfx submissions from our MONO community.

Big boards, little boards — we don’t discriminate. These standout pedalboard systems are well thought out, fun, or a bit of both.

The Lite Heavyweights

Sometimes it’s the mini setups that inspire. Musicians that belong to this camp turn to boards like our Pedalboard Lite to keep things trim on their tone hunt. No extra baggage allowed here — every effect unit counts.

One drive of your choice, and the HX Stomp to do the rest of the work. The Jet Micro is also a great choice of HX controller for smaller systems.

This Lite build looks just like candy. The JHS Pedals VCR and the BOSS DM-2 Waza are standouts for us here.

Another Lite build with an HX Stomp makes it to our month’s best pedalboards. We love the commitment to the monochrome aesthetic throughout this one — it simply doesn’t get any cleaner.

Pedalboard Classics

For the players that want the essentials and a little more. Here are our favorite Small and Medium builds of the month.

One of our most popular board sizes, musicians are constantly finding ways to maximise the space on our Small pedalboards.

Our boards’ flat profile means that you can easily build on two planes — on the board and underneath it. Swipe through to see the Strymon Zuma AND Origin Effects Cali76 hiding comfortably underneath this pedal system.

Top that off with Origin’s RevivalDrive Compact, some choice pedals from Vertex Effects and GFI System, the BOSS ES-5 for additional effects and programmable switching, and you’ve got a board that functions at a scale beyond most builds this size.

A fun mix of classic effects and the latest tech on this Medium build. As one commenter puts it, this looks like a lot of fun.

This isn’t a combination of effects that you see very often, but it must definitely funk.

Plenty of great tonal options here with the Mastermind PBC/6X by RJM Music Technology functioning as the big blue brain. We love the inclusion of those Barefoot Buttons too.

Go big or go home

Big isn’t always better, but big is always big — and sometimes pretty epic. That’s what the Pedalboard Large is for.

Big pedals board? Big pedalboard? Why not both? We covered this ludicrous build recently so no surprises that it made this list too. Find out more and watch the full video here.

Aptly named the #pedalboardofdoom, this mothership is home to a whopping EIGHT Chase Bliss Audio pedals (including the limited edition Cooper FX collaboration Generation Loss) and 2 of BOSS’ new 200 Series units.

We’ll just let you take this one in slowly.
