What makes the new FlyBy Ultra, “ultra”? What changes did we make to our most iconic backpack?
When we envisioned the next evolution of the FlyBy, we knew it wouldn’t be to replace the iconic Classic version we all know and love – we simply wanted to push the boundaries of the FlyBy for the creators that just need more.
So we made the best, better.
Here’s a quick rundown of the improvements and upgrades we made to make the FlyBy Ultra a reality.
A whole new look and feel
The FlyBy Ultra brings a new look and feel – inside and out. This backpack is water-resistant, extremely tough and 100% animal-free thanks to its 1680D ballistic nylon exterior.
On the inside, there’s now a plush inner that ensures your belongings remain scuff and scratch free.
An embossed Go Play® brushed metal tag replaces its fabric predecessor. Etch your name into the back for a personalized look and easy identification.
New reflective panels light up the night or a dim backstage to help you get to your backpack quicker.
Bigger and better performance
Always need more space? The FlyBy Ultra stands 2” taller (internal height).
Side pockets are now larger and the front pocket gusseted and deeper for increased storage and security.
Other upgrades include waterproof zipper tape and heavy duty zippers to keep your gear safe from the elements, as well as a new padded and shockproof internal shell structure that provides an even higher level of gear protection than ever before.
The military-grade Hypalon sole marks its return, shielding the base of the FlyBy Ultra against the roughest of surfaces.
New compartments and ergonomics
Frequent flyers will appreciate the addition of a new luggage pass-through and the addition of new compartments all around the FlyBy Ultra.
Digital creatives and space optimizers will enjoy the new mesh pocket in the main compartment that also features 4 dedicated SD card slots. We’ve also added more cargo pockets in the second front pocket to keep your belongings tidy.
We’ve also made upgrades to all of the straps on the FlyBy Ultra.
The backpack-style straps are now detachable and feature an ergonomically curved design to fit your torso while the new side compression straps keep your gear secure at all times. The magnetic quick-release buckles from our Stealth line help release and lock the straps with zero effort.
A new 2-in-1 experience
Remember the FlyBy’s breakaway laptop bag? We’ve brought this to the next level too.
The Ultra’s detachable backpack now comes with its own top handle, a zippered front pocket, and an additional laptop sleeve inside for more compartments making the breakaway bag a safer and more functional carry in its own right.
