The month of May brought us more new board builds. Which #monopfx pedalboards reign supreme this month?
Big boards, little boards — we don’t discriminate. We’ve selected a few notable submissions for their detail, tonal options, and more.
The Lite Heavyweights
Do you believe that less is more and sometimes it’s the mini setups that inspire? Musicians that belong to this camp turn to boards like our Pedalboard Lite to keep things trim on their tone hunt. No extra baggage is allowed here — every effect unit counts.
Here’s the band GA-20 with two #monopfx setups.
One of their Pedalboard Lite setups includes the Ryra Klone and two Catalinbread Topangas. The other Lite board is also home to the Ryra Klone, but adds the Malekko Trem, and the MXR Reverb instead.
Simple and specific builds but they get the job done!
Pedalboard Classics
For the players that want the essentials and a little more. Here are our favorite Small and Medium builds of the month.
Hailing from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Faridz Husaini is no stranger to building simple, but beautiful boards. Being an art director himself, he knows the ins and outs of how to expertly match colors. Here is his recently updated Pedalboard Small.
Pedals include the universally acclaimed Klon Centaur clone –the Centura Professional Overdrive, the BOSS CE-2, RE-20 and Wazacraft VB-2w, the Cali76, and the Surfybear Reverb.
We can’t wait to see Faridz’s next #monopfx build!
DiSales is back again with his clean #monopfx builds and this time, with a couple of new pedals.
This ampless #monopfx build houses the 1981 DRV No3, Vemuram Jan Ray, Origin Effects Cali76 and MAGMA57, Cornerstone Gladio, Ibanez CS-9, Strymon Timeline, Iridium and Flint.
One of the cleanest, if not the cleanest #monopfx we’ve seen for the month of May.
Jeremy Minett has put together a very comprehensive compact build. This Pedalboard Small features a dual H9 setup along with the Mastermind PBC/6X to control the rest of the effects. Pedals include the Nordland ODR-C, ZVEX Effects Channel 2, Ibanez Mostortion, and the Strymon Iridium.
A completely ampless #monopfx, ready to rock at a moment’s notice.
A notable mention of the Pedalboard Small is the clearance underneath it. Jeremy has creatively installed two Strymon Ojais and an RAF Mirage Compressor. How neat!?
