#monopfx: Best pedalboards of February 2021

What did the romance of February bring for us pedalboard enthusiasts? Read on as we compile our favorite #monopfx pedalboards of the month that caught our eyes with their looks and tonal options.

The Lite Heavyweights

Do you believe that less is more? Musicians that belong to this camp turn to boards like our Pedalboard Lite to keep things trim on their tone hunt. No extra baggage allowed here — every effect unit counts.

A minimalist board with an unconventional signal chain, this creation from Matt of Knobs and Noises has all the pedal essentials for your gigging needs.

The latest iteration of the TC Electronics Ditto with an über cool touchscreen makes an appearance alongside many beloved classic pedals!

Pedalboard Classics

For the players that want the essentials and a little more. Here are our favorite Small and Medium builds of the month.

A beautiful symbiosis between old and new, Andres Castro’s MONO board sees him combining digital and analog pedals for his on-stage tones.

Highlights include the Emerson EM-Drive, Jackson Audio’s Belle Starr, Strymon’s Timeline, TMG Guitar Co.’s DRHIVE, and Eventide’s H9,

Simple, elegant, and clean – we love how getting great guitar tones doesn’t automatically equate to unwieldy pedalboards!

This next feature is a personal labour of love. Check out the process of building and wiring a pedalboard through his eyes (and lens).

Kingsley’s Maiden and Jester pedals, SiB’s Cuda and Boss’ 500 Series Pedals all make rare appearances on this MONO board.

With three possible gain stages, we really would love to hear this novel pedal chain in full tilt!

Go big or go home

Big isn’t always better, but big is always big — and sometimes very epic. That’s what the Pedalboard Large is for.

Sometimes you can’t escape the inescapable – more pedals translates to more tones for a whole lotta inspiration!

This monolith of a pedalboard from Erjim Delos Reyes takes every grail pedal from the ambient & shoe gaze world and places them onto some seriously impressive real estate.

An eye-catching pedal collection from Strymon, Meris, Empress, Eventide, Keeley, and Origin effects make this one pedalboard that we wouldn’t mind taking for a test drive.

If discovering new sounds butters your bread, we’d definitely think this board should inspire your future builds.
