#monopfx: Best pedalboards of November 2020

Best pedalboards of November

What does the month of November bring for us pedalboard fans? We compile our favorite #monopfx pedalboards of the month that score with their clean layouts and tonal options.

Big boards, little boards — we don’t discriminate. Read on to explore some of November’s best signal chains from around the world.

The Lite Heavyweights

Do you believe that less is more? Musicians that belong to this camp turn to boards like our Pedalboard Lite to keep things trim on their tone hunt. No extra baggage allowed here — every effect unit counts.

MONO Pedalboard Lite+ user Rafael Vieira put together a great first pedalboard with a balanced selection of effects.

We’re intrigued by the very colorful Mr Sparkles overdrive by GojiraFX that has tiny 3D-printed cans for knobs!

Pedalboard Classics

For the players that want the essentials and a little more. Here are our favorite Small and Medium builds of the month.

The good people at Stompbox SG recently put this Pedalboard Small together for a customer and we’re loving the tonal spread.

Highlights include Jackson Audio’s Bloom and Source Audio’s Collider Delay + Reverb and Vertex Effects’ Steel String MKII Clean Drive.

Looking for massive, gritty ambient tone? This signal chain can definitely do that for you.

Fuzzrocious’ Cat King and EarthQuaker Devices’ Disaster Transport SR and Space Spiral are some of our favorites on this pedalboard.

Definitely a rig that needs to be heard live in stereo.

Go big or go home

Big isn’t always better, but big is always big — and sometimes very epic. That’s what the Pedalboard Large is for.

Check out this ultra clean Pedalboard Large by MONO user Andrea Gonzales.

This build has some sweet stackable gain options in the form of the JHS Superbolt, Emerson Custom EM-Drive and Greer Amps’ Lightspeed.

This is a signal chain you can’t go wrong with.

This is how you maximize real estate on a pedalboard.

MONO user Mathijs van der Voorn has an incredible collection of fan favorites like the HX Stomp, Strymon’s BigSky and TimeLine, Origin’s Cali76 compressor and more.

We love how everything here fits perfectly.

There’s still some room on this Pedalboard Large, but this collection of highly-coveted effects is already a sight to behold.

Six Strymon pedals sit atop this MONO board, including Strymon’s latest pedal, the NightSky Time-Warped Reverberator, and three Jackson Audio overdrives – the Golden Boy, Belle Starr and Mateus Asato’s signature Asabi Overdrive.

Other highlights include Eventide’s latest Blackhole pedal and Meris’ Mercury7 making this a dream of a setup.
