#monopfx: Best pedalboards of March 2022

Found your dream #monopfx setup yet? No?

We got you! Here are some of the best pedalboards we’ve curated for the month of March.

The Lite Heavyweights

Do you believe that less is more? Musicians that belong to this camp turn to boards like our Pedalboard Lite+ to keep things trim on their tone hunt. No extra baggage is allowed here — every effect unit counts.

Adam Miller’s Lite+ is the perfect complement to his already dreamy setup – a stunning Collings Eastside LC and the sought-after Two Rock Burnside.

This #monopfx sports the Free The Tone SOV-2, Nordvang Custom No. 1, Chase Bliss Audio Mood, and the Strymon Flint.

“If you could only hear this photo!!” – Adam Miller

Here’s another great example that less is more.

French guitarist, Hugo Benoit Roche, who is based in Quebec City knows how to deliver big tones in a small package. His #monopfx features The Octaland by King Tone Guitar for that classic “Octavia” tone, the MAGMA57 by Origin Effects for that signature 6V6 sound, and the Aqua-Puss by Way Huge for that analog delay goodness.

All pedals are powered by the Strymon Zuma mounted underneath the Pedalboard Lite.

Who says you need the biggest and baddest setup for massive tones?

Pedalboard Classics

For the players that want the essentials and a little more. Here are our favorite Small and Medium builds of the month.

Nelson Capote’s bass #monopfx is a regular feature on our socials and what’s there not to love about it! Here is his Pedalboard Small featuring the Pedalboard Lite.

This #monopfx houses the all-time favorite HX Stomp, the EHX Bass Micro Synth, the Blackstone Appliances Mosfet Overdrive, and the sought-after Noble preamp.

We also love how Nelson ingeniously retrofitted the Pedalboard Lite onto his Pedalboard Small. This allows for easy foot access and knob-tweaking on the raised row of pedals.

A notable mention to his Distressed Grey boots too! #bootsandboards

Seems like bass players are on a roll this month with their awesome #monopfx setups. This could potentially be Johann Ting’s endgame pedalboard.

Here’s a complete breakdown of this setup: MIJ Boss OC-2, Source Audio C4, DMC Micro Pro, Line 6 Helix Stomp, Origin Effects “Big Box” Cali76 TX, and the Noble preamp.

Johann also mentioned that this board sounds “SO good”, even through in-ears, and we can almost hear it ourselves!

Who says pedalboards are only for bassists or guitarists? With his incredible Pedalboard Medium build, Israeli drummer Dan Mayo pushes the boundaries of conventional pedalboards.

The ACIDBOX III and Zen Delay are hard to miss as they take up a substantial amount of pedalboard real estate. Deaftone Audio also plays a big part in his musical journey as pedals like The Unknown, a Rat Distortion-inspired pedal, and the Noise Box from his previous build made it onto this new one.

Other pedals include the TC Electronic Sentry, Chase Bliss Audio Gravitas and Blooper, JAM pedals Delay Llama, EHX Platform, DigiTech Whammy Ricochet, and the Gamechanger Audio Light Pedal.

It’s difficult to explain what this #monopfx sounds like, but we highly recommend that you check out Dan Mayo’s Instagram to see this pedalboard come to life.

Here’s an excellent example of the type of magic Dan Mayo does:

A #monopfx all the way in the Land Down Under and we can agree with Samuel that it is actual perfection! This build is loaded with features that completely boost usage efficiency.

The brains of this Pedalboard Medium lie in the aptly named Mastermind PBC/6X and it controls pretty much the entire board. Its flexible loop ordering and easy programmability make performing with this setup a whole lot easier.

A comprehensive pedal switcher deserves great pedals to go with it. In order – the LAA Custom Italian Wah, Analogman Sunface, DryBell Vibe Machine V2, Pine Box Woodpile V2, Fulltone OCD, Dunlop Volume X, Boss DD-500 and the RV-500.

Go big or go home

Big isn’t always better, but big is always big — and sometimes very epic. That’s what the Pedalboard Large is for.

This behemoth was spotted all the way in sunny Singapore, built by DreamVibes.

When life gives you a Pedalboard Large, you put larger pedals. This #monopfx features the massive Super Switcher by EHX, the GFI Systems Specular Tempus, the Boss IR-200, the Eventide Blackhole, the Jackson Audio Prism, the JHS AT+, and the ThorpyFX Fallout Cloud.

Swipe to appreciate the beautiful cable work on this #monopfx and a micro surprise.
