#monopfx: Best pedalboards of March 2021

We’re marching on steadily into the year and the third calendar month has an assortment of pedalboard beauties both big and small. Read on as we showcase some of the best #monopfx pedalboards for March 2021.

The Lite Heavyweights

Do you believe that less is more? Musicians that belong to this camp turn to boards like our Pedalboard Lite to keep things trim on their tone hunt. No extra baggage allowed here — every effect unit counts.

A tiny board with gorgeous patch work, Adonijah Driver has elected to go with an all-Mako selection from the guys over at Walrus Audio. Hi-fidelity delay, reverb, and amp-sims together with a minute MIDI controller from Morning Star Engineering has us thinking that this might be the sonic equivalent of gold, platinum, and silver.

Pedalboard Classics

For the players that want the essentials and a little more. Here are our favorite Small and Medium builds of the month.

The next entry comes from Pedalboard of the Day. A MONO Carbon Small is layered with a choice selection of decadent pedals. Notable highlights include Origin Effects’ RevivalTREM Bias Tremolo, Death By Audio’s Rooms, and Alexander Pedals’ History Lesson. Bonus points for making the wiring on a flatboard super tidy.

A beautiful pic with an equally gorgeous guitar, Andrea Gioè has a monochrome collection of pedals with a dash of scarlet red supplied by the EHX POG. Our eyes spy a bunch of classic pedals in the form of the Fulltone OCD, Keeley Compressor, MXR Microamp+, and the J. Rockett Archer. Brings us right back to the nostalgic years of Y2K.

Go big or go home

Big isn’t always better, but big is always big — and sometimes very epic. That’s what the Pedalboard Large is for.

Bobby Strand is going on the road and he made a pretty good call getting the tone wizards at Good Wood Audio to create the ultimate tour board. Starting with the Pedalboard Large, this board is stacked with a healthy option of drives, modulations, delays and reverbs. We’d definitely love to take this monolith of a pedalboard for a spin.

Tours are starting up and Andrew Sovine’s submission has gotten us really excited to see pedals rigs at shows again. Our Pedalboard Large is filled to the brim with a bunch of really cool effects – Chase Bliss’ Mood, an original EHX POG, and Soundman’s  EVOLS III are some of the prominent features on this show-stopping ensemble.
